Life story
January 8, 1966

Born in Madeira, Portugal  on January 8, 1966.

November 30, 2003

Murdered in Laval, Quebec, Canada, on November 30, 2003 at the age of 37. We do not know what happened to Carlos on this horrible day.  Maybe someday we will have some answers!

Carlos was the nicest person you could ever know.  He cared so much about the people in his life, especially his family.  He was sensitive and always ready to help anyone who needed him.  Unforuntely, these great qualities left him open to get hurt very easily.  If it's true that "only the good die young" than Carlos was one of the good ones.

When Carlos and I were young, we played together all the time.  He always let me get my way. I was the more stubborn twin.  We would play an hour with my barbies and half an hour with his cowboys and indians, but Carlos never complained.

As a teenager, he developed a passion for playing the guitar.  He saved his money and bought himself a candy apple red guitar.  He was so proud of it.  He formed his own little band and they would practice in our garage.  When I got married he asked if their band could play a few songs.  I of course, said yes.

As the years went on, he unfortunately, made friends with the wrong people and had to learn the hard way that not all friends can be trusted.

~The Broken Chain~

We little knew that morning,

that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;

for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide;

And though we can not see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same;

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
